40% of Euro 2016 stadiums equipped with the AirFibr hybrid grass
The Euro football championship will be held in France from today to July 10th 2016. For this special occasion, 4 out of the 10 grounds of the Championship have been equipped with AirFibr, an innovative hybrid grass technology. This technology is also used by other clubs in Europe like Real Madrid and Arsenal FC.
AIRFIBR AT EURO 2016: 4 STADIUMS AND 2 BASE CAMPS
AirFibr is a French innovative hybrid grass, 4 Euro 2016 stadiums are equipped with this technology: Lyon, Toulouse, Bordeaux and Saint-Etienne. One semi-final of the competition will be held on an AirFibr ground.
Furthermore, AirFibr pitches will also play host to the base camp of Portugal at the National French Rugby Centre, as well as to the Swiss team at the Stade de la Mosson in Montpellier. Very positive reviews have been released on the pitches: Alex Miescher, General Secretary of the Football Swiss Association is very enthousiastic: “I have rarely seen such a good pitch. It ranks 4th in the best turfs of Ligue 1. The training conditions are fantastic”.

The first AirFibr ground was installed back in 2013 at Stade de l’Aube in Troyes for the ESTAC club. Since then, 15 other European clubs of Premier and Second Leagues, among which Real Madrid, Arsenal FC and Olympique Lyonnais, have been equipped with AirFibr. As for rugby pitches, the French Rugby Federation and Racing 92 also opted for the installation of AirFibr. Dan Cater, the “best player in the world”, daily trains himself on our technology.
