Initially named Grand Stade Lille Métropole, the stade Pierre Mauroy is the home stadium of LOSC. Its retractable roof and removable platform supporting half of the pitch make it an unique stadium and a real multifunctional arena. In total, the Lille stadium has 5 configurations from the football stadium with a 50 000 seat capacity to the 30 000 seats sport arena.
After the Euro 2016 games on a traditional soil/sand sod turf, the pitch was renovated in August 2016 with the AirFibr hybrid grass technology. AirFibr seeding and turfing solutions allow the stadium to combine its multiproposal program with a good pitch quality all year long.
